Cookie & Local-Storage Notice
Effective 27 July 2026. Operator: Pentonym, Inc., 133 Ray Court, Fremont, CA 94536, USA.
Pentonym uses only strictly-necessary storage to keep you signed in and the site working. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies — so there’s nothing to opt out of for advertising.
What you’ll see
Because Pentonym sets no non-essential cookies, no consent banner is required for tracking. If that ever changes (e.g., analytics is added), a consent banner with granular opt-in will be shown first, and this Notice updated.
Storage, and why
| What | Type | Purpose | Consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| pentonym_key (browser local storage) | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in to your account | No |
| Session/CSRF or load-balancer cookie (if set by the host) | Strictly necessary | Security, routing | No |
| Analytics / advertising cookies | — | Not used | n/a |
Clearing storage
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings; clearing pentonym_key signs you out. Because we set no tracking cookies, there is nothing to opt out of for advertising.
Basis & contact
Strictly-necessary storage does not require consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive / PECR. If we introduce any non-essential cookie, we will update this Notice and obtain consent first. Contact: privacy@pentonym.com.
