Why a flat plan instead of paying per search?
Because fewer than 1 in 20 names clear, you have to check a lot to find one. A per-search fee would punish exactly the thing you need to do. Founder is flat so you can check freely.
What’s the difference between Founder and API?
Founder is for a person naming things in the app — unlimited, flat. API is for software that calls Pentonym — usage-based, with a batch endpoint and an OAuth connector for your own users.
Does the API return the same thing as the app?
Yes — the exact same signed verdict. The receipt you see is the API response, and anyone can re-verify it against our public key.
